Its hard to win.
Scholarships are so hard to win. I mean, just to be able to apply for the scholarship you need to meet certain requirements.
* Be a senior in high school, undergraduate, or in Grad school
* Be under the age of 25
* Major in Health related field
* Have a 3.0 GPA or higher
These are just a few general requirements, not including if it's a specific scholarship. Athletics, going to a certain fastwebs.com, write about a certain subject, or be doing amazing outstanding community projects. Its not that I am not trying its just most of the scholarships have applied to have been awarded to people in the east coast.
Is it that I'm applying to the wrong ones? NO. That im not trying hard enough? NO. I suck at writing? Possibly but NO. I just have to wait, I guess but until then I will keep applying my little butt off. To earn some extra cash my college career.
I am not going to give up!!! :)

I just have that WTF thought.
In my second semester of high school I was a volunteer at Joy Junction. A place that houses homeless people for as long as they need or as little and tries to help them get back on there feet. While I was there we would serve the people lunch and after had the option to sit with them, eat and talk. Of course I would sit and talk because that's mostly what I like to do, you know get to know people and find out how life is or maybe learn something new, get some advice, just simply have a little chat. Anyway while I would talk with some of the folks housed at Joy Junction, they would ask where I'm going to college and what I will be studying. When I tell them, most of them say "Oh! College was very hard but fun. I think you'll enjoy it", or something in general. The thing that freaks me about about this story is most of those "Homeless" people have college degrees. In nursing, teaching and everything else you can think..... So like what the heck am I doing going college to be a nurse if I possibly have a 50/50 chance of not becoming one? Yes I know some might have mad some bad decisions to change their lives but NOBODY is perfect and it can happen to the very best.
I just have that thought of WTF!? Sometimes.

College!
This blog is about my adventures in college. The whole who, what, where, when, and how about my college experience! It should be very exciting but yet very, very different.
So far I am in the means of becoming a full time student and Central New Mexico Community College. Yes I know it's a Community college but hey, college is EXPENSIVE and after a couple of years I will have my Associates degree in Nursing and be able to help pay for my continuation of education. My goal after that my Bachelor's also in nursing, then I will see where life will take me because you never know what kind of bird is going to hit your windsheild. Just know in the future your going to see me as a.....
